CONVENTION EDUCATION RECAP

Convention education featured Global Futurist April Rinne’s keynote on embracing the “flux mindset” and the Power of PSA session hosted by the PSA Executive Leadership team, moderated by Senior Director of Learning and Marketing Brooke Erickson.

Keynote Presentation with April Rinne

April Rinne’s keynote, Flux: 8 Superpowers for Thriving in Constant Change, emphasized that embracing change and uncertainty is essential to effective leadership, strong culture and meaningful communication. During this interactive session, we collaborated with peers to set goals for 2025–2026 and reflect on what we might need to let go of in order to move forward successfully. After exploring why we often resist adaptability, April guided us in rethinking our relationship with the unknown, demonstrating how adopting a “flux mindset” can transform change into an opportunity to learn, grow and improve.

Power of PSA: Real Stories. Real Impact.

To wrap the final day of Convention, PSA’s Executive Leadership team took the stage for the session, Power of PSA: Real Stories. Real Impact. The team hosted a candid discussion about how PSA is evolving to meet the changing needs of its members. Attendees gained an inside look at PSA’s strategic direction, upcoming initiatives and the collaborative efforts across departments that enhance member value, emphasizing a commitment to innovation and adaptability.

NETWORKING & EVENTS

Convention offers attendees multiple networking opportunities with PSA integrators and sponsoring technology partners as well as planned excursions and activities. PSA was excited to host Top Talks, which provided dedicated time for integrators to visit with top technology partners to connect and learn about their latest solutions. Additional networking opportunities included a sponsor appreciation reception, welcome reception, a nightcap evening event, Top Gun Night at the iconic Top Gun House and exciting excursions throughout Southern California.

Welcome Reception

Attendees kicked off PSA Convention with the Welcome Reception, hosted by Hanwha. The evening was accompanied with a live musician, ocean view and Hanwha branded coconuts, setting the tone for a week full of strengthening old relationships and building new ones.

Top Talks

PSA was excited to host Top Talks, a Top Gun-inspired take on the Convention staple sponsor tables, which featured 26 showcasing sponsors. Attendees connected with top technology partners and learned more about their latest offerings. Many sponsors hosted tabletop raffle drawings for attendees to win prizes after visiting their table. Congratulations to the lucky Top Talk winners, receiving premier prizes from $500 in gift cards to Ray-Ban Meta Sunglasses!

Excursions

Attendees enjoyed a variety of memorable excursions during their time in Oceanside. Some set out on the Whales and Wonders catamaran where they spotted two humpback whales while cruising past Oceanside Harbor. Others chose to escape to Temecula for a private wine tour through scenic vineyards. One group enjoyed a guided food tour in Carlsbad, sampling local favorites, and the last group spent the day teeing off at the premier Aviara Golf Resort that overlooked Batiquitos Lagoon.

Top Gun Night

On Wednesday, Oct. 15, PSA hosted the highly anticipated Top Gun-themed evening with Dinner in the Danger Zone, sponsored by Altronix, at the iconic Top Gun House, where guests went all out sporting their aviators, bomber jackets and flight suits. The night concluded with the Altitude Afterparty at the Mission Pacific Beach Resort.

Dinner at the Top Gun House included a live rock band, digital caricature artist and a Tom Cruise impersonator, and the party continued as attendees danced the night away at a rooftop venue to close out PSA Convention 2025.
