PSA TEC CELEBRATES ANOTHER BANNER YEAR
PSA TEC 2017 Concludes with Continued Growth and Prepares for New Location and Dates in 2018

WESTMINSTER, CO –  May 25, 2017– PSA hosted five days of education and networking between two locations, the Westin and Marriott hotels in Westminster, CO, for the 43rd year of PSA TEC. Each year the event grows and 2017 was no exception. The increased number of exhibits, sessions and qualified industry-leading presenters provided more educational options for every job level of integrators in the physical security industry. New tracks for Audio-Visual/Communications and Procurement/Purchasing were offered as well as a new focused learning path for RMR.

“PSA TEC has earned the reputation of being one of the best educational events for systems integrators,” said Bill Bozeman, CPP, president and CEO of PSA. “Our team has worked hard all year to make sure we continue to present the most current topics from the best industry experts and that the exhibits showcase the best in class products that our integrators are looking for. This year’s event was a huge success for not just PSA but also the presenters, exhibitors, sponsors, and attendees with regards to education and networking.”

Education was the focus of the event with over 100 session offerings for attendees which were broken out into eight learning tracks. New to the education roster this year was an RMR focused learning path. The sessions within this path were from different learning tracks that provided attendees a look at the technologies and best practices from industry and financial pros to help recurring monthly revenue become a reality in their businesses.

Matthew Rosenquist, cyber security strategist at Intel Corporation, motivated and encouraged attendees to take an active role in the cybersecurity of their businesses during the Tuesday morning keynote address. He offered insight into current risks and provided recommendations on how to address those risks that are emerging in the industry. Following the address, the State of the Industry took place with panelists David Sylvester (Founder & President, 3SE), Matthew Rosenquist (Cyber Security Strategist, Intel Corporation), Gunvir Baveja (CEO, eVigilant Security), Bill Bozeman (President & CEO, PSA), and Chuck Wilson (Executive Director, NSCA). It was a highly-attended session, complete with real-time polling questions for the attendees and open dialogue among the panelists.

On Tuesday afternoon, PSA held the PSA TEC Vendor Awards Luncheon where the winners of various awards were announced.  Congratulations to this year’s winners:

TEC 2018 is slated for March 11-15, 2018 at the Downtown Denver Sheraton. More information including the official call for papers date will be released in June 2017. The new location and expansion will allow all the sessions and certification trainings to be held in one location with more hotel room accommodations available for attendees. “We are excited about the move downtown and what it will bring to our attendees next year,” said Kim Garcia, director of marketing of PSA. “We have outgrown our current location so having the entire conference under one roof will really bring back the networking, information exchange, and personal connections that TEC is known for.”
