FIVE MINUTES WITH KATIE BLOUGH

September 6, 2018

Ever wonder who keeps the PSA engine running?  A team of talented, intelligent, and fun people are working hard every day to ensure PSA leads the charge in the systems integration industry.

Get to know us a little better!  Meet Katie Blough, project manager/business analyst at PSA.

Describe your job in a couple of sentences: Since I’m still fresh to the company, I’m currently getting my arms around ongoing projects and the business processes of PSA. Once I’ve achieved that, my job will be to scope out and deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget for PSA.

How long have you worked for PSA? About 2 weeks.

Can you share a little bit of information about your professional background? I began my professional journey in IT support then moved to QA engineer. While I liked fixing code and testing software, it was not in my DNA to do so as my profession. I then moved into project management which is the job I have come to love and am pursuing as my career.

What makes PSA different from other places you’ve worked? What makes PSA different from where I’ve worked before is the company’s desire to make the business more efficient and provide a better service to the industry. This company seems to aspire to create an environment that is enjoyable and hard working making it a great workplace.

What do you enjoy most about working here? The atmosphere and the people!

What do you like to do for fun? Hiking, trips in the mountains, visiting national parks, chasing my two crazy boys (or hiding from them), and beer tasting with my husband.

Any fun or interesting facts about yourself that you want to add? Oddly enough, I was tracked down by the FBI about two years ago because I was on an ISIS hit list. It was probably just random names and addresses that they somehow got and wanted to give the FBI the run around – but I’d like to think that I was a real threat to ISIS which made them want to take me out. Long story short, I scared ISIS enough to be on their hit list.
