Due to Avigilon’s recent acquisition of VideoIQ, PSA will no longer be in a position to provide you with VideoIQ’s line of video analytic solutions – effective Feb 28, 2014. As expected when this deal was first announced, Avigilon will be severing the Video IQ relationship with PSA. It will be business as usual through the end of Feb 2014.
The great news is PSA has a number of quality (and competitively priced) alternatives for your video analytics needs – including the edge based analytic solutions from Ioimage (by DVTel). And as you can see by this Ioimage comparison, their offering stacks up very well against VideoIQ. Along with the ringing endorsement from a PSA Owner who stated “The Ioimage from DVTeL is a great product and equal to VideoIQ. We have tested and vetted this product for a year now and performance is flawless. DVTel support is very strong. They have a good engineering team and willing to go extra mile. I like the edge appliance based solutions for Analytics over software based solutions”. In addition to Ioimage, we are also actively looking at other video analytic providers to possibly add to the mix including Mango + Mate, SightLogix, and AgentVI and will keep you posted as to our status with them.
Although losing a line for reasons outside of our control can be somewhat challenging, we feel we have a solution(s) in place to effectively fill the video analytics space on our line card. PSA’s goal is to continue to offer our owners and customers the very best physical security solutions available (at competitive prices). We strongly suggest you take a closer look at our current and pending video analytic solutions – I think you’ll like what you see.
